Before
J D - IMPEX Couplers are more Reliable with more Structural Integrity than Lap Splices because they no longer rely on the Concrete for Load Transfer.
After
Coupler is a product which is used to Connect two Reinforced (TMT) Bars from the heads, this will Increase the Mechanical force in the bars. Due to this the Load is transferd to the Coupler not on the concrete.

Rebar coupler is used in Constructing High-Rise Buldings, Railway lines, Metro lines, Bridges etc...
